The last two months have seen the U.S. cross what appeared to be its own lines against giving advanced weapons to Ukraine. First, the announcement to send a Patriot Missile battery to the embattled country; then this week, news that within a week, the administration seemingly changed its mind about sending its most sophisticated tanks — the M-1 Abrams — into the battlefield. Suzanne Loftus, author of the forthcoming book, "Russia, China, and the West in the Post-Cold War Era: The Limits of Liberal Universalism," joins us to talk about whether this is a slow escalation to direct conflict with Russia, and what might be a better alternative to bringing about an end to the war.
In the first segment, Dan and Kelley talk about the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies’ plan for regime change in Iran, and this week's US-Israel military drills to "show force" in the Middle East.
